September 10, 2004 -- On Thursday September 16th, the Billabong Opening Night Party for the 5th annual Malibu International Film Festival will kick off in style at the Malibu Pier with a Spring 2005 Fashion Show, Film Premieres, Hors D' oeuvres and deserts from Allegria; sponsored drinks from Patron, Vermeer, Saddlerock Vineyard and Unibroue.

The Opening Night Film Premiere "Blue Horizon" by Jack McCoy will start things off at 8pm so get there early as it is sure to be standing room only. Following Blue Horizon and the intermission party, the second film premiere of the night, "A Brokedown Melody" by Chris Malloy, will begin at 10:00 pm.
